home for the holidays

I’m in my old home now, as always we are spending Christmas here with my family. I love all the Christmas traditions we have, like buying a Christmas tree with my dad. We did that yesterday, soon I’m starting to decorate it. Then later decorating cookies, all kind of decorating is my job! And a little bit of cleaning..

movies

When I’m done with the cleaning and decorating it’s time for movies and relaxing. Every year I watch some classics, like Love Actually, The Holiday and Home Alone. It don’t matter if I remember them from word to word, I still always want to see them!

Kun kaikki valmista, niin tiedossa olisi joululeffoja ja rentoutumista. Katson joka vuosi aina ne tietyt klassikot, ei niihin vaan kyllästy!

It’s the perfect winter weather, the snow is so fluffy and white!

Täydellinen talvisää tuli kyllä täksi jouluksi! :)

How are you spending your day before the Christmas eve? Any similar traditions, for getting in the Christmas mood?

Minkälaisia puuhia teidän aatonaattoon kuuluu?

The day before Christmas is really relaxed. I’m decorating the Christmas tree with my brother, my mom is cooking for Christmas Eve and after that we spend some time together, watching the classic Christmas movies. :) since my mom got cancer a few years ago, Christmas is more important to us than ever, as we don’t see each other much during the year. :)

Are you going to church on Christmas Eve?

I wish you wonderful Christmas, enjoy the time with your family. And of course a happy year. May be 2013 another good year for you.

All the best. xo Anna <3

We decorated the tree yesterday in the evening and today I´ll just probably chill and watch Home alone because that´s classic! And in the afternoon I´m meeting my boyfriend to exchange our presents so I´m really excited for that!

Ahh, you´re so lucky with the snow..it snowed here in the Czech republic yesterday, but it melted right away and today it´s raining..well, whatever..

kudos to your outfit, it looks perfectly put together and is exactly my style also, I am always like, ahaha, she raided my closet ;)
My Christmas tradition seems to be getting sick, this is the second year in a row >.< I have to make food today, bake cookies and wrap presents, so I hope I will be a bit better soon.
Enjoy your time at home with your family and have a very merry Christmas xxx

And by the way I want to wish you a merry Christmas, let them be full of love, family’s warm and happy :)

Beautiful outfit, I love specially the bag and watch!

    Your traditions sound great! Mine
Include for example going to buy the Christmas tree (always the same place) with my dad, and on 23th evening we go for a ‘elf tour’ in my neighbourhood to bring their Christmas presents. (:

    Merry Christmas Marianna!

The fur collor with the jumper makes for a very baroque look, it’s gorgeous! And your puppy looks so cute in his little rustic coat! I fear my own dog wouldn’t look quite the part, Basset’s don’t really lend to the shabby chic look hehe :)

The day before Christmas Eve I always spend at home. My family and I decorate christmas tree, my sister and I help my mum with preparing food etc, nothing special. But I love this time, and I love christmas… Today it also started snowing here in Poland and I’m so happy about that!
Great photos. I adore your dog!
Marianna I wish you very merry christmas! Enjoy spending time with your friends and family <3 Thank you for this 2012 year with us, and I hope that 2013 will be amazing for you.

Marianna, for a few months I’ve decided to buy an iPad. I really love it… but I’m not sure if t was a mistake to buy an iPad and not a Macbook Air (that was my first thought). So, Marianna what do you thnk about this?

  13. Magdalena says:

dear Marianna :* I’ve got a little question for you: How do you manage to make such a great pictures inside? Colours on your inside photos are so natural while mine sooo unnatural. I know that in the past you used to have Nicon D60 camera (I’ve got it right now) and your pictures were great too. Thanks for the anwser :*:*
(I’ve been reading your blog from the very beggining but it’s the first time I post a comment, haha ;))
