my beach essentials

Tanning is challenging for me. Not because I won’t get tanned easily, but because it’s hard to stay still in the sun sweating. With the right things I can manage though, for an hour or two… But I’m definitely not the laying in the sun all day -type of person!

Auringonotto on mulle aina yhtä vaikeaa. Ei siksi, ettenkö ruskettuisi, vaan se haaste on siinä paikallaanmakaamisessa ja kuumuudessa. En ole ikinä ollut sitä tyyppiä, että makaisin auringossa aamusta iltaan, ei riittäisi kärsivällisyys ollenkaan! Jos mulla on viihdykettä niin kyllä mä auringossa silti pari tuntia jaksan makoilla…

I got home last night and I’m already missing the sunshine… Next I’ll show you more pictures from my trip, now back to unpacking and after that heading to the gym to catch up with my friend. Coming back from +30 degrees to almost -20 degrees isn’t that fun, but still, it’s good to be home.

Tulin kotiin viime yönä ja nyt jo ikävä aurinkoa… Nyt takaisin laukun purkamiseen, sitten salille treffaamaan kaveria. +30 asteesta tänne melkein -20 asteen pakkaseen palaaminen ei ole niin helppoa, mutta kotona on hyvä olla!

    hehe suomen talvi ei kyl oo yhtää mun juttu :D odotan jo innolla, että pääsen hiihtolomalla dubaihin !
    ja tosta auringonotosta… se on kyl tosi haastavaa :-D alkaa melkein aina pyörryttää, jos ei oo juonu tarpeeks vettä jne jne
    mutta kaikkee sitä tekee kauniin rusketuksen vuoks :-)

      It’s the medium size of the aviators :) I don’t know what the color is called, but gold frames with black/green lenses… I hope this helps!

        Yes, sure it helps :) thanks for your answer. I’m looking for good sunglasses since forever!? and now I’ll buy a Ray Ban. x

        Is that very cold in Helsinki right now? In Hamburg we have lik 5 degrees or something, and I think when I’m coming to Helsinki in three weeks I’ll be shocked, haha.

        Yesterday when we came in the evening it was that cold yes! But luckily now it’s only -7 .. :) I’ve heard that it has been a much warmer winter in Germany!

        Oh god, I need a lot of clothes haha. But I’m so excited for the trip. I’ve saved all my money, as I need a lot from Bik Bok ;) I hope everything I want it still available!

        That’s true, but in Hamburg we always have a lot of rain (haha remember your summer here, when we had such a monsoon…) and it’s very windy.

        Are you coming to Hamburg this year?

    Glad you’re back! :) You look so good even with basic t-shirt and shorts…:D

    Could you write something about your gym routine? How do you work out, what do you eat?:) I think a lot of people here are trying to get fit and lose some weight for 2013 so it could be very helpful! :)

      Yes definitely! Though I don’t live super healthily, but I could still do a post about this how I work out and eat :)

    Ite tulin myös keskiviikkona gran canarialta mutta ei siellä kyllä +30 ollut, korkeintaan 25 astetta auringossa :) 20-23 oli aika normaali! Miten nuin korkeat lukemat olet saanut? :D

    Kannattaa kesäsin myöskin esim. rullaluistella ja kävellä tosi paljon, siinä ruskettuu paljon tasasemmin verrattuna siihen, että ois vaan paikoillaan :)

    I’m definitely not a tanning person either – I just get bored! A good magazine is always imprtant to have, as well as a good quality tanning oil. That way you get the maximum benefit from the sun! Plus, if you have a friend to tan beside, it’s must more enjoyable and time flies by!

    I can not believe that girls do tanning and with oil. Lived in California for a while and there is nothing uglier than wrinkled and dried up 35 year old skin. I am not even going to mention the cancer issue that many of my Ca surf friends have to deal with. Good luck with your tanning and lot of Retinol when you get 30. PS. overly tan skin on white person do not even look so pretty.

    Toivottavasti oli mukava reissu:) pisti kyllä vähän silmään noi lämpötilalukemat..itse olen täällä viimeset 3kk viettänyt,eikä se mittari 30c ole noussut. Joten ihmetytti hieman,että missäpäin gran canariaa olet oikein ollut:D
